Hot damn, I about shit a brick after I played around with the AO like so-

With AO turned off- sta.sh/01uvrrn52zar

With AO turned on and adjusted- sta.sh/0wyfqswuy3l

I know even then it's still not the best there is, but I think it's a step in the right direction. What do you think?

Whenever I use AO myself, I get the weird 4 lines on the poster

imgh.us/hnngh.png

exactly like the poster in the link, any solutions to it or is it just my laptop? it's not a huge bother but I would be happier when it would work.

No clue. It might be a custom overlay that's messing with the AO, creating a grid effect. Example: robogineer.deviantart.com/art/…

I see. Thanks for the reply, I'll have to look deeper into it. :)

SSAO does not work for me. I have it turned on but i don't see the grainy effect. I am also using the sliders and nothing changes. Help anyone?

Make sure you're in the motion editor/Graph Editor when you're changing the sliders

Hey, I have a question. If you look at the medic's chest on the picture, you notice that it's kinda pixelated and just ugly. I have this problem with entire model on my character in SFM and I wonder if you know how to fix it?

Are you talking about the grainy-ness? If so, you need to render it at a higher depth of field override.

If the model looks transparent when it has AO, that means a part of the model itself is transparent, and you cannot use it without turning off the AO.
